it’s already 10 in the morning, and our model, Rona, was still not yet around for the photoshoot that should have started already two hours ago.
and for starters, it was a really nerve-wracking moment, considering that i was not really the only one who were waiting for her: there were three other photographers who were put on hold, and even one them had an 11 o’clock appointment. “keep them busy or entertained..” these were just the words Rona could say, as she was being dolled up By Bhabes in a surviving beauty parlor somewhere along the city, a 15 minute ride away from the location.
entertaining is never my thing. kissing ass? not my forte. and Rona wanted me to do it to keep our sanity intact. but who was i to complain? after all this shoot would have never pushed through if not for Rona and for these photographers. i heckled them – sort of.
three months prior to the shoot, i already planned an androgynous/sexy kind of theme for a photo shoot, with a lackluster, grunge-y location. initially i tapped another girl to model for us, which she politely agreed on. but because of time constraints and conflcts with schedules with our day jobs (yes, we do have that), we kept on pushing the shoot schedule to a later date, causing our model to back out since she was going out of town for a vacation. out of time, we tapped Rona instead, who was supposed to be our 2nd girl for cover.
come to think of it, he… i mean… err… she is the perfect girl (i am sticking with the feminine side of things, thank you) for our first cover. after all, iconoclast is all about defying standards. and she just fits right the bill. enjoy the pictures
