Pop Education – Sex Education and the Church

Hello Guys!

And am I so thrilled to be on this spot today. No not because I am excited to write to this e-magazine – which is cool, by the way – but I would be able to impart and drill my thoughts into your mind about something that has been heating up between the government and the Church perhaps for years now. And I am talking about sex education.

Filipinos, give ourselves around of applause for being one of the top countries who has a stunning population rate. It’s not a good thing but cheers! YEHEY! Cheer up because we have been oh so blessed with over 90 million Pinoys which are mostly poor or, worse,  below poor level. Yeah, I know right? Our country does not have enough jobs to give to hundreds of thousands of graduates each year. Our country does not even have enough rice paddies to feed our foul mouths. Our country does not even have enough public schools for our children to get some education. And yet we multiply like drugged up rabbits humping like there’s no tomorrow. And sex-related diseases spread so fast all we need is a red light district (if it’s given a go signal, i’d put it somewhere in…….. Plaza Miranda).

So the government became useful (which happens once in a while) and introduced sex education program to public schools. The purpose of this is PLAINLY OBVIOUS – to teach kids how to fuck smart. The government (props to the Health Secretary) hopes that this will be continuous and in the long run will help alleviate the population and sex-related diseases problems that we are having.

Now, believe it or not, here comes the antagonist: the two faced Church. Philippines is the Catholicism capital of Asia, where more than 90 percent of the population are two-faced Catholics. And obviously, this does not sit well with them, together with the Ang Kapatiran movement.

According to a certain Eric Manalang, head of the conservative political party Ang Kapatiran (The Brotherhood),”Sex education in schools is not the answer to our population problem and poverty.”

The Church also believes that the this will only promote promiscuity among children, and this is against their moral codes.

Bullshit.

How much do they know about promiscuity and have they tried it themselves? Bullshit.

If it is not the solution to the increasing population/poverty, unwanted pregnancy and abortion, and widespread of HIV, then what is? They do not know. Why? Because their task is to simply keep their mouth from shutting.

And if we talk about morals, dear Sirs of the Catholic Church, take a good look around you. In the tabloids you can see women clad with almost nothing – sometimes clad with nothing. Watch the television during primetime – I reccommend Rubi – you will see characters doing promiscuous acts and even sex itself (oh please don’t tell me you do not watch TV because I will throw a rotten tomato to your face if you are going to give a lecture that involves Santino). Take a good look at the monthly publications with female celebrities posing daringly (not that it’s a bad thing, errr). Take a good fucking look, it’s fucking everywhere. And now you are telling us children are not to be taught about sex, as if it’s not natural? OH COME ON!

Don’t be naive this time, and don’t act sheepish . It’s about time you should stop sticking your nose to the issues of the government!

So my advise to the people, do not believe everything that the priests say. They are human  beings too, and they are not God or higher than you. Shit, I even know some priests and bishops that do sexual acts, you know… Boys and even girls alike.
